"Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are
honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure,
whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report;
if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things."
Philippians 3:8

When I am not working on my computer, I really love
to read Christian fiction. My three favorite authors are
Al Lacy, Janette Oke and Gilbert Morris. I would like
to give you a brief biography of each of them.

Al Lacy

Al Lacy is an evangelist and bestselling author of more than
eighty western and historical novels, including those in the popular
Mail Order Bride, Angel of Mercy, Hannah of Fort Bridger,
Battles of Destiny, and Journeys of the Stranger series. He is a master
at imparting deep biblical truths through entertaining fiction.
He and his wife JoAnna (who co-authors many of their books)
live in Littleton, Colorado.

*My Note concerning this author...  I have only discovered him
myself in the past 3 months.  He is the most exciting Christian
fiction author that I have come across so far.  His books have
an incredible amount of Salvation messages in them and they would
be a wonderful gift to give to some unsaved friend or loved one!
The "Angel of Mercy" series are my favorites so far.  There is
so much history in these books and you don't want to put them
down after reading the first page or two.  I never liked history in
school, but these books bring history alive as well as the
importance of knowing Christ as your personal Saviour.

Janette Oke

Janette Oke was born in Champion, Alberta, during the
depression years, to a Canadian prairie farmer and his wife.
She is a graduate of Mountain View Bible College in Didsbury,
Alberta, where she met her husband, Edward. They were married
in May of 1957, and went on to pastor churches in Indiana, as well
as Calgary and Edmonton, Canada.
The Okes have three sons and one daughter and are enjoying
the addition of grandchildren to the family. Edward and Janette
have both been active in their local church, serving in various
capacities as Sunday-school teachers and board members.
They make their home near Calgary, Alberta.

Gilbert Morris

Gilbert Morris spent ten years as a pastor before becoming
Professor of English at Ouachita Baptist University in Arkansas
and earning a Ph.D. at the University of Arkansas. During the
summers of 1984 and 1985 he did post graduate work at the
University of London.. A prolific writer, he has had over 25 scholarly
articles and 200 poems published in various periodicals, and
over the past years has had more than 70 novels published. His
family includes three grown children, and he and his wife, Johnnie,
