Every time I wanted to weld something I had to kneel down either on
the gravel driveway or garage floor. Both are painful on the knees
and I'm getting too old to bend over every 60 seconds. So, I'm going to
build a welding cart that I can roll out on the gravel driveway and weld
without bending over.
Tractor Supply had these wheels two for $9:
And of course we need some angle iron for a frame and steel rod for axles:
So I weld up a rectangular frame 21" x 33" so it's a little smaller than
the 24x36 steel plate that will sit on top.
I weld on the axles, but I also put some braces on each side of the axle
to make it stronger when pushing it over rough terrain:
woo-hoo! it spins!:
So I built a basic frame:
