Rescue those who are unjustly sentenced to death; don't stand back
and let them die. Don't try to avoid responsibility by saying you
didn't know about it. For God knows all hearts, and he sees you.
He keeps watch over your soul and he knows you knew! And he will
judge all people according to what they have done.
Proverbs 24:11-12

Champaign County Right to Life
Principles and Mission

Champaign County Right to Life is founded on certain principles of Life and has,
as its mission, education and action to end abortion and assisted suicide, legal or illegal.

Principles:

All human life is sacred because all human beings are created in the image and likeness of God, who is sacred, sovereign, and the giver of life.

All human beings are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights, one among these being life, infinitely precious in the eyes of God.

Human life and personhood begins when sperm unites with the egg.

The purpose of a just government is to protect human life, from the first moment of existence until natural death. The deliberate taking of human life is a grave evil, or murder.

Mission:

Champaign County Right to Life exists to educate the public about three aspects of abortion:

l.   The abortion mentality and the number of abortions.
2.   The horror and cruelty of abortion procedures.
3.   The short-term and long-term effects of abortion
on the woman who has one and on a society which
permits this.

Further, Champaign County Right to Life exists to educate the public on assisted suicide, which is likewise the taking of human life.

Action:

Believing that the root cause of legal killing is lack of belief in God, Champaign County Right to Life recognizes the public's need for conversion and adopts all means possible to combat and end abortion and assisted suicide: prayer, fasting, vigils, picketing; letters, newsletters, advertising, speakers, fair booth, etc.

Champaign County Right to Life is resolved to work to end abortion until the people demand a change in the abortion law and secure that change. It is further resolved to oppose any laws designed to introduce assisted suicide.

"For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother's womb.
I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; marvelous are they
works; and that my soul knoweth right well. My substance was not hid from thee,
when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest part of the earth.
Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my
members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there
was none of them. How precious also are thy thoughts unto me, O God! how great
is the sum of them! If I should count them, they are more in number than the
sand: when I awake, I am still with thee."
Psalms 139:13-18
