Today's technology can help you out!

03/08/07 11:29 AM Filed in: Internet
On Sunday March 4, 2007, ABC aired Extreme Makeover Home Edition and featured a family that had lost their home due to fire. This coming Sunday, March 11, 2007, ABC will air another episode of EMHE that once again deals with a family who has lost their home to fire. In both instances, the families lost many of their precious possessions to either fire, smoke or water damage. In the episode on 3/4/07, the show dedicated a segment to the restoration of photographs salvaged from the remains. This was a long and costly process and ultimately they had to tap friends and family for their pictures to help complete the family’s albums.

We all have boxes or drawers stuffed with old pictures of our children, friends and memorable events. We may not pull them out and reminisce everyday, but having those moments captured on film gives us a sense of comfort and security. Watching these types of reality shows brings the tragedies of life into our living rooms. Unfortunately for many, their memories and personal items are lost for ever. For most, the loss of items is not the result of catastrophic events, but rather everyday mishaps. To ensure the safe preservation of people’s personal effects, like photographs, CT‑Drive offers customers a service to protect their valuables in a safe, secure environment. CT‑Drive allows people to store photographs, videos, and documents on a virtual drive located on the Internet. CT‑Drive appears on the user’s computer just as their hard drive does and files can be placed in the virtual drive just as easily as it would be saved to their hard drive. CT‑Drive protects valued possessions from a simple spill of water to the most catastrophic events.

CT‑Drive is an example of how today’s technology is evolving to meet the demands of families and businesses. The Internet can provide more then just email or information searches. Now the Internet, through CT‑Drive, provides safe reliable and redundant storage for valuables.
